Solar panels may do the legwork of generating electricity from sunlight, but the inverter is the part of your solar system that enables you to use that power. Inverters convert the DC (direct current) electricity from the PV panels to AC (alternating current) power – which is what’s used in the power grid, our workplaces and our homes. Modern inverters are highly sophisticated devices and can provide detailed information about the performance of your system.
Island Solar uses inverters from the following brands:
SUNGROW
Sungrow manufactures high-quality inverters with built-in smart monitoring and app support (selected models).
Fronius’s wifi-enabled inverters provide energy management tools out of the box for excellent performance monitoring.
PRIMO 5.0-1
The Fronius Primo perfectly complements the SnapINverter generation. This single-phase, transformerless device is the ideal inverter for private households. Its innovative SuperFlex Design provides maximum flexibility in system design, while the SnapINverter mounting system makes installation and maintenance as easy as possible. The communication package included as standard with WLAN, energy management, numerous interfaces, and much more besides, makes the Fronius Primo a communicative inverter for owner-occupiers.
The transformerless Fronius Symo is the three-phase inverter for every system size. Owing to the SuperFlex Design, the Fronius Symo is the perfect answer to irregularly shaped or different roof orientations. A WLAN or Ethernet internet connection as standard plus easy integration of third-party components make the Fronius Symo one of the most communicative inverters on the market. Furthermore, the meter interface permits dynamic feed-in management and a clear visualisation of consumption.
You can’t manage what you can’t measure: a smart meter (usually in tandem with a smartphone app) allows you to get total visibility over your solar generation, energy consumption and dollar savings. All our smart meters are retrofittable to existing solar power systems. Island Solar uses smart meters from the following brands:
FRONIUS
The Fronius Smart Meter is a bidirectional meter. Together with Fronius Solar.web, the Smart Meter presents a clear overview of the power consumption.
Sungrow’s range of smart energy meters provide a convenient and reliable way of monitoring power consumption. With models available for single-phase and three-phase power, Sungrow is a solid option for both residential clients and commercial clients of all sizes.
